Volunteer Park Ambassadors needed at Rutland Water

Anglian Water are looking for Volunteer Park Ambassadors to join their Rutland Water team.

Love Rutland Water? Want to be a part of keeping it beautiful? Then join the team as a Volunteer Park Ambassador or 'Park Lover', as they are more commonly known.

The dedicated 'Park Lovers' are responsible for caring and attending to Rutland Water and maintaining its greenery to ensure that it remains a safe and clean place for visitors and the wildlife that live there.

When can I volunteer?

The volunteering programme runs every week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

What will I be doing?

While volunteering duties can vary, some key duties include:

  • Hedgelaying
  • Coppicing
  • Woodland management
  • Wildflower meadow management
  • General gardening duties
  • Litter picking
  • Carpentry
  • Fencing

How will I benefit? 

As well as being rewarding, becoming a 'Park Lover' brings other key benefits including:

A spokesperson for the park said: "Do you enjoy being outdoors and meeting new people? This summer, we're looking for Volunteer Park Ambassadors to support in the conservation of our beautiful park during the busy season."
