Warner's Traditional Sweetshop will reopen today, Monday 9 January 2023, following a Christmas closure and revamp.

The local sweetshop, based just off of Oakham High Street, was closed over Christmas and into the New Year for a rearrange, ready to welcome a host of new stock provided by local and national suppliers.

On top of their usual collection of sweet treats and homemade fudge selection, Warner's Traditional Sweetshop will now be stocking chocolates from Stamford Heavenly Chocolates.

This follows the closure of the Oakham-based Stamford Heavenly Chocolates shop on Mill Street. Read more here.

They will also be stocking Rossi's Ice Cream, a favourite of shop owner, Chris Warner.

Rossi's is a traditional historic ice cream parlour in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, from where Chris and his family hail. Now, Chris is bringing a taste of Essex all the way to Rutland - just in time for the days to get longer and the weather warmer.

Owner, Chris Warner, said: "We are cleaning and arranging the shop today so please allow for this when coming in. Full normal service should resume on Tuesday and I will be updating our opening hours too. Hope to see you soon!"

The shop have also recently introduced local delivery. Find out more here.

Alternatively, pop in-store for some sweet treats, good chat, and highly anticipated ice cream from 12pm today.
