Alehouse Rocks starts this Friday.

Tomorrow, 28 July, will see the beginning of a weekend music festival at The Grainstore.

The annual Ale House Rocks festival will welcome the first two acts of the weekend on Friday night, as well as a pop-up bar under the marquee promising a top range of ales and ciders from local and national breweries.

Opening the weekend at 5pm are Monroe Duo. Their repertoire includes a huge range of pop, rock, blues, soul and jazz songs spanning the last 6 decades.

Next up, at 8:30pm, will be the Houndogs, who performed an incredibly popular set on Father's Day as a part of Oakham Town Council's series of live music sessions at Cutts Close.

The band was formed by the three Wilson brothers nearly 15 years ago, and since then they have built up a wide reputation for their exhilarating live performances.

On Saturday 29 July Dan and Izzy will hit the stage at 2.30pm.

The duo perform a mix of classic and contemporary hit songs by the likes of Alicia Keys, Paolo Nutini, Nina Simone and Sting.

Acoustic Vibes will follow at 5.30pm, playing interesting and unusual versions of hits from the 1960's to present day with an emphasis on 90's and noughties indie.

The Aesthetic will round off Saturday night's live music, performing a range of covers from 9pm.

Finally, Sunday 30th July will welcome the final two bands of the weekend.

Govannen will kick things off with some chilled tunes, jigs, reels and contemporary Celtic songs from 1pm

The Roamantics will close the weekend from 4pm, when they will need a hand signing things off in style and finishing off the left over beers!

The Roamantics are an upbeat and engaging acoustic band performing classic songs and modern hits with female vocals, acoustic guitar, double bass and percussion.
