Rutland Climate Action is back on 20 November, and the team want to hear from you ahead of their first meeting to see what Rutland residents think should be done across the county to tackle climate change.

Rutland Climate Action is a group of volunteers who are working together to combat climate change and its effects in Rutland. They are looking for new members who can help with local projects, such as raising awareness, fundraising, and tree planting. No experience or skills are required, just passion and commitment.

Following the announcement that the group would be returning, the team welcomed a strong response from local users who share their passion for the environment.

Some residents have suggested turning engines off while at the level crossings, for example.

And the team want more suggestions and feedback ahead of their relaunch.

Bill Stillman, spokesperson from Rutland Climate Action: "We are now adding Rutland Climate Action news on our website, as well as sharing climate initiatives from the local area and further afield. We would like to add your voice to the discussion and welcome comments and suggestions about what can be done locally to tackle climate change."

Are you hosting an event? Are you working towards doing your bit to support the climate and environment?

Let the team know by emailing Bill Stillman via [email protected], and the team will add your events to their What's On page, as well as including your ideas and questions to the itinerary for their meeting later this month.

You can attend the meeting at the Falcon Hotel in Uppingham on 20 November from 7:30pm until 9pm.
