Join in with a host of events in and around Rutland this weekend, including sporting events, live music, beer galore and more.

Beer Festival

The team at The Fox and Hounds in Knossington are hosting their first ever beer festival this weekend, and you are invited to join the party.

The main event will kick off on Saturday 15 July at 12pm, and will include various local live musicians from 1:30 until 9:30pm. Tickets for the Saturday event will cost £3, with kids over 6 costing £1 and those under getting in for free.

Attendees will be able to enjoy a range of beers from Castlerock Brewery, Oakham Ales, Bakers Dozen Brewing and Stonegate, as well as a variety of ciders, prosecco, Pimms and hot food, including a hog roast, burgers, hot dogs and vegetarian options.

The Fox and Hound's regular Thursday Night meal deal will also be going ahead on 13 July, and on the menu is a classic beef pie for just £12

Rutland Sailing Club Family Open Day

From 10:30am until 5pm on Saturday 15 July, head down to Rutland Water Sailing Club to find out more about the facilities on offer. 

This family friendly day out will allow locals to enjoy the club, try out some dinghy sailing, and head out on the water for excursions. 

Catering and bar facilities will be open all day.

Oakham Farmers Market

Head down to Gaol Street on 15 July to enjoy the monthly farmers market in the heart of Oakham.

Buy fresh produce, crafts and gifts, or indulge in cooked food and meats direct from the farmers.

The Rutland Cup

On 15 July, the Rutland Cup final will be taking place after a lively round of semi-finals last weekend. 

The annual football event sees local teams competing to win and to raise money for charity. This year, they are supporting Pepper's- A Safe Place. 

The grand final will see Stamford Lions face Cottesmore AFC at 3pm.

Enjoy a catch up, a great atmosphere and stick around for the drawing of the raffle to see if you have won big!

Live Music in Cutts Close

The Uppingham Jazz and Soul Band will be performing at Cutts Close on 16 July 2023. 

Music starts at 2:30pm and goes on until 4:30pm. 

There will be chairs provided by Oakham Town Council, but feel free to bring a blanket/chairs and a picnic.

Don't forget that The Global Birdfair 2023 is also taking place at Rutland Showgorund this weekend, so traffic on the bypass may be busy.
