What's on in Oakham this weekend: enjoy a beer festival, steam rally, or family fun at Cutts Close

Make the most of the Bank Holiday weekend this Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with a range of events suitable for family, friends, couples and everyone in between.

22nd Rutland Beer Festival

The 22nd Rutland Beer Festival held at The Grainstore Brewery brings together a wide range of real ales from around the UK. and will be featuring over seventy Real Ales with an array of golden ales, stouts, bitters, porters and barley wines and a wide selection of traditional ciders.

There will be live entertainment and barbecues every day.

Opening Times:

Thursday - 5pm until Midnight

Friday - 11am until 1.30am

Saturday - 9am until 1.30am

Sunday - 9am until 1.30am

Monday - 11am until Midnight

Admission is free. There is a deposit of £3.00 on a commemorative Rutland Beer Festival glass, which is yours to keep, or return for a full refund.

There will be a range of local bands playing, including Dirty Rumour and Funked Up - and many more.

Vintage Steam Rally

On the 27th, 28th and 29th of August, Stapleford Miniature Railway will be hosting a vintage steam rally, suitable for enthusiasts and families alike.

This classic vintage steam rally will have camping, and the heritage miniature steam railway will be in operation - and much more! 

Tickets range from FREE to £5, with camping for the whole weekend priced at only £40.

Cutts Close Bank holiday Music Fair

On Sunday the 28th and Monday the 29th of August, Cutts Close will play host to a range of local sellers, food stalls and Rutland-based musicians in a family-friendly event organised by Oakham Town Council.

Sunday the 28th will bring:

Mcgoo Irish Band from 12pm - 2pm

Vesper from 2:30pm - 4:30pm 

Top Banana Band from 5pm - 7pm

Monday the 29th will host more bands, plus a free Punch and Judy show:

Marlow and smith from 12pm - 2pm

Los Cojones from 3pm - 5pm

Guests have enjoyed the music in the park all summer
