Join in with a host of events across Rutland this weekend, from food and drink to Lindy Hop and hedgehogs!

Hedgehog Talk

Following the cancellation of their previous event due to snow on Friday 10 March 2023, Prickleback Urchin Hedgehog Rescue will be returning to host a free talk about 'all things Hedgehog' on Friday 24 March.

This will take place at the Market Overton Bowls Club at 7pm.

Come and find out more about the humble hedgehog and find out how you can support them in your garden and how to spot an animal in need of rescue.

Doors open at 7pm for a 7:30pm start and admission is free, with tea, coffee and cake available.

The bar will be open.

Good and New Clothes Sale and Champagne

Head down to Rutland Showground for the Good & New Clothes Sale First Night Sale, including champagne, and canapés, this Friday.

Not only can you pick up some pre-loved clothes for all the family but you are also supporting For Rutland, who raise funds to pay for specialist advisers who provide non-medical advice to people of all ages living with long-term health conditions in Rutland and the surrounding community. 

Entrance is by ticket only which includes a glass of champagne and canapés.

This will take place on Friday 24 Match from 5pm until 8pm

From 8:30am until 1pm on Saturday 25, the Good and New Clothes Sale will continue, with entrance on the door for £5 and most items half price.

Rutland Big Band and Oakham Swing Dance

On Saturday 25 March, Victoria Hall will play host to the Rutland Big Band and Oakham Swing Dance.

The event will take place from 7:30pm until 11pm and tickets cost £12.

Rutland Food and Drink Festival

The annual Rutland Food & Drink Festival is returning this weekend, 26 March 2023, 11am until 4pm.

Organised by Carolyn Acton-Reed Events, this one is always popular and brings together local food and drink creators and suppliers in a day of indulgence and friendship.

Entry is free and dogs are welcome.
