Every Friday going into September, Ovation are hosting a Sundowner Session with a live music act and 2 for £12 cocktails between 6pm and 8pm.

100 years of Oakham Rugby Football Club event

To celebrate the 100 years of Oakham RFC, on Saturday the 10th of September, the club will be hosting 'centurion' games for both their second and first teams. All are welcome to attend and support the local club, with games beginning at 2pm.

There will also be family fun, free and paid games and events, and beverages available.

Head down to ORFC early to enjoy some local rugby from 2pm.

The event is free to enter and there is free parking at the club.

THE FAMILY FUN DAY HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE PASSING OF HM, HOWEVER RUGBY GAMES AND THE PRE-MATCH LUNCH WILL STILL GO AHEAD.

The club have commented: "In light of the sad news of the passing of the Queen we have cancelled the Centenary Fun Day tomorrow and will reorganise for the end of the season

"Saturday lunch and senior rugby games will go ahead in line with the RFU's statement and Sunday will proceed as normal."

On Sunday the 11th of September, Steve Foster's Big Band will be playing at The Grainstore Brewery. 

Music will begin at 5pm, and entry is free - although visitors are welcome early for drinks and food. 

Steve has put a band together of vastly experienced friends and colleagues to produce a spectacular Big Band. 

Expect swing, soul, funk and Latin from a full 18 piece Big Band. This is one not to miss, so call 01572 770065 to book a table.
