Join in with a host of events taking place in and around Rutland this weekend, including a regular quiz night, a dance-a-thon and a wedding fair.

Quiz Night at The Plough

The weekly quiz at The Plough is a popular event at friendly village pub, and will be taking place again on Thursday 12 October. 

The event costs £1 per person to enter, max 6 person per team. 

Winning team get a round of drinks, and all teams go into a draw to crack the safe, so you don't even have to 'know it all' to be in with a chance!

Thursday Night Dinner at The Fox and Hounds

The Fox and Hounds will be hosting their £12 Thursday special again on 5 October.

This week's dish is pork belly with mash and seasonal veg, and you can enjoy a £3 Atlantic Pale Ale and other discounted drinks too!

Head down to 6 Somerby Road, Knossington to join the fun.

Day of Dance

Pop down and support local Morris Men on their 'Day of Dance' on Saturday 14 October. 

The day will kick off at 10:30am, where dancers will don their bells and traditional costumes and perform at The Wheatsheaf in Oakham. 

At 11:30am they will dance at The Sun in Cottesmore, before moving on to The Green Dragon in Ryhall at 12:45pm. 

Continuing the afternoon, they will hit the stage at The Exeter Arms in Barrowden at 2:20pm. 

Their penultimate stop will take place at 3:15pm in Uppingham Market Place.

The event will conclude at 4:30pm at Oakham's The Grainstore Brewery and Tap.

Wisteria Wedding Fair

Come along to the Wedding Fair at The Wisteria Hotel in Oakham on Sunday 15 October from 11am until 4pm.

Chat to a range of suppliers, enjoy a glass of bubbly and take a look around this beautiful venue.

The event is free to attend, but the team have asked visitors to register here, so that they have an idea of numbers.
