Rutland NightSwim

Rutland NightSwim takes place at Rutland Water on 31 August (Nub News).

Rutland NightSwim is an extraordinary experience open to all levels of open water swimmers.

Organisers say: "With swimming, glow sticks, music and a shared experience you'll never forget, join us for the UK's premier night swimming event."

Thursday Night Dinner at Fox and Hounds

This week the team are serving up a stunning chilli con carne (Fox & Hounds).

The team at The Fox & Hounds in Knossington be hosting their weekly Thursday night special on 29 August, and this week the team are serving up chilli con carne, rice and peas, guacamole, sour cream & corn salsa

For just £12.95, every week they put on a popular meal deal, and you can head down to 6 Somerby Road, Knossington to join the fun.

Royce Rangers FC 50th Anniversary

Royce Rangers FC will celebrate their 50th anniversary on 31 August (Royce Rangers FC).

Royce Rangers Football Club is inviting children of all ages to enjoy a fantastic family fun day on 31 August, as part of its 50th anniversary. 

The celebrations will take place at The Rutland Showground, just outside Oakham, from 10am until around 2pm, with tonnes of entertainment and excitement planned. 

Come and enjoy activities including an inflatable assault course, bouncy castles, mini golf and loads of football-themed games. There will also be food and drink stalls, an incredible football freestyle performance and the chance to win a prize by coming dressed as a famous footballer. 

Cottesmore Craft and Produce Show

The Cottesmore Craft and Produce Show takes place on 1 September (Image supplied).

Anyone is welcome to enter produce, crafts, preserves and baking in the show at Cottesmore Village Hall on 1 September.

The event runs from 2pm until 4pm and entries should be brought to the village hall between 9am and 11am.

Prize giving will be at 4pm, refreshments are available and there will be a raffle, tombola and cake stall.
