Rutland County Council has issued an update on how it aims to catch up with the delays in bin collections caused by last week's heavy snow.

In a statement issued today, the council also said its service also suffered vehicle breakdowns too, as it also keeps up to date with the current week's collections.

The council said: "This may mean that both your bins are collected on the same day, or your missed bin may be collected the day after the bin that is due this week, this includes our Farms & Lodges round

"The following areas have been affected by delays, collections are expected to be completed by Saturday 20/02, please leave your bin out and it will be collected.

19 February - Aldgate and Redmiles Lane Ketton, Farms and lodges will clear any remaining communal bins not collected.

19 February - Missed streets
