Joshua, a year-seven student at Catmose College, has raised £1,575 for the Rutland Osprey Project as part of a school challenge.

He walked an impressive 22.1 miles round Rutland Water as part of his 'Catmose Challenge' and chose to donate the money he raised to support The Rutland Osprey Project.

The 'Catmose Challenge' was created to encourage students to get involved in their local community and gives students the opportunity to develop their strengths and interests.

As well as his walk, Joshua has dedicated countless hours to helping out in the Waderscrape Hide at Rutland Water, sharing facts and spreading his excellent knowledge of the birds and their nesting habits.

He has also helped with caring for Osprey and Peregrine Falcon nests, ensuring both once-endangered species are thriving in the area.
