Under 18s looking to travel by bus from Rutland this summer will be able to do so for £1 per single and £2 per return across the summer holiday period.

The upcoming scheme will run from Saturday 20th July until Saturday 24th August.

Rutland County Council's Transport Team has been working in close partnership with local operators to encourage not only younger passengers to use buses but also family members as an alternative to using their car.

All journeys must start in Rutland to be valid for the promotion.

The council hopes the promotion will encourage more people to travel on local bus routes, helping to decrease traffic, reduce carbon emissions from private vehicles and provide local businesses with a boost over the busy summer shopping period.
