On Saturday, the 17th of August during the Cottesmore AFC Development Team's Leicestershire Senior League opener, the side proudly received its new kit sponsored by the Treble One Trust.
This is the latest in a lengthy mutual partnership between the two organisations. The football club – the oldest in Rutland - sponsored the trust's Summer Ball which, was a great success in July.
Off the back of this, trustees from the Treble One Trust decided to return the favour by becoming the front shirt sponsor for the Westray Park club's development team.
The Treble One Trust was named after the collar number of Motor Neurone Disease sufferer, Leicestershire Police Sergeant Stewart Sparling, and represents the principle of "One life, One chance to live it, One day at a time."
The charity was formed by Stewart as there is little or no funding for specialist equipment to help sufferers in the latter stages of the disease. Whilst Stewart appreciated the help he received from professional organisations, full funding for equipment was not always awarded.
Stewart experienced the positive affect this specialist equipment had on his quality of life and in turn his mission in life became helping others with MND and he sadly died aged just 44.
This is just one of many mutually beneficial partnerships the club has agreed over the off-season and has meant many improvements have been carried out at the ground - with the club's quest to gain entry to the United Counties League for the first time in its history.
The Cottesmore AFC Development Side went down 1-3 to Newbold Verdon with the club's first team also losing, 1-0 to Barlestone St Giles.
