The Grainstore Comedy Night
The Grainstore, Station Rd
Comedy
UNTIL Monday 26th December
Funhouse Comedy Club is back at the Grainstore Brewery, Oakham on Thursday December 29th for a night full of laughter.
Topping the bill is Alfie Moore who has appeared on ITV's 'Show Me The Funny' and 'The Wright Stuff'. Following the success of the first series on BBC Radio 4 of 'It's a Fair Cop' in 2014, it is now in its sixth series. A police sergeant, he brings a wealth of insights and comedy moments from his eighteen years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival! His engaging style enables him to get serious points across whilst still making the audience laugh until they ache.
Opening the night will be slightly camp, middle-class funnyman Hal Cruttenden. Having a background in professional acting he has made numerous TV appearances, including 'Live at The Apollo', 'Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow', 'The Royal Variety Performance', 'The Rob Brydon Show', 'Let's Dance for Comic Relief', 'Would I Lie To You', 'Sunday Night at the Palladium', 'Mock The Week', 'The Great British Bake Off – Extra Slice', 'Celebrity Squares', and Pointless Celebrities. With his ability to mix the personal, the surreal, the ridiculous and the political he delivers an energetic and absorbing performance.
Completing the line-up is Perrier Award Nominee Simon Bligh, who works all over the world and has made several appearances on TV and Radio. His cheerful chatty style and crazy storytelling immediately strike a chord with the crowd keeping them immersed. His friendly demeanour is mixed with a fast-paced performance of unadulterated comedy and accurate observations.
Compere for the night will be the quick-witted and likeable Paul Revill.
