Oakham in Bloom is holding its ever-popular annual Quiz Night later this month with all proceeds going to the volunteer organisation.

The evening event is being held on Saturday, 29 February at All Saints' Church Hall, in the town's Church Street, starting at 7pm.

Oakham in Bloom joint-founder and current vice-chairman Joyce Lucas said: "The quiz night has been a popular highlight of the Oakham in Bloom social calendar for several years.

"Tickets are limited to 70 - so it is advisable to book early.

"All proceeds will go towards the work carried out throughout the town by the volunteers."

Tickets cost £10 per person - including a fish and chip supper - and teams should be made up of four to six people. Competitors should take along their own drinks.
