Male brandished sword near Oakham

A male brandished a sword in public just outside Oakham.

Leicestershire and Rutland Police have confirmed they received a report at around 8.15pm on Friday 10 July of the man carrying a sword in Langham.

A statement to Nub News said: "Officers went to the area where the incident was reported and engaged with the man.

"No threats were made to either the public or police.

"He has been referred to support offered by partner agencies and no further action will be taken."
