Oakham Nub News has joined forces with a regular reader to share a 'Cocktail of the Week' feature, and here is Josh with the latest instalment:

Hey guys, nice to be back with this week's cocktail of the week, a Mango Mojito.

The Mojito is a traditional Cuban drink that usually consist of five ingredients: white rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water, and mint. This combination of sweetness, citrus and mint flavours complements the rum, and has made the mojito a popular summer drink.

You will need:

  • mint leaves
  • 50ml white rum
  • a splash of mango syrup or juice
  • soda water
  • lime
  • crushed ice

Method:

  1. Build in a tall glass
  2. Add mint leaves with the white rum and 3 lime slices
  3. Muddle
  4. Add crushed ice
  5. Add mango syrup and stir
  6. top up with soda - as much as you want depending upon the strength of the drink
  7. Garnish with a mint leaf

Enjoy!

Check back next week for another Cocktail of the Week, shared each Friday to get the party started.
