30-day road closure starts today

A road closure lasting for 30 days is due to start today.

Burley Road, where it joins at A606 in Langham, is closing today for 30 days while the local authorities complete carriageway works and resurfacing.

These works are taking place while Langham Church of England Primary School, just off the junction, is closed for the summer holidays.

The Wheatsheaf in Langham will be open as usual.

Works are due to be completed around the 23 August.

In Wardley, further roadworks have started today.

These were due to take place on 26 and 28 July on the A47, but been moved forward to take place this Monday, 24 July, and Monday 31 July 2023.

Surface dressing of the A47 near Wardley, Rutland, will take place from 8am – 5pm on both Monday 24 and 31 July, meaning the road will be closed during these times and diversions will be put in place.
