After being open for just over one year, the Rutland Cheese Co has closed following a sudden annoucement.

In June 2022, Liam and Tom opened the doors to their brand new cheese shop in the heart of Oakham, The Rutland Cheese Co.

Previously known at the Two Guys Company, the cheese pros stocked and sold local and nationally produced artisan cheeses, home and handmade chutneys, crackers, teas and a menu of cheesy snacks to enjoy in store.

However, following an announcement on social media on Friday 21 July, they closed up shop for good on Saturday.

They said: "To all our loyal and valued customers: Tom, Biggie and I would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support over the last year or two. We would just like to take this time to thank you.

"Due to our personal circumstances and the ever changing economy it is with heavy heart that we have had to come to this decision to close this weekend."

The store will still be running online, so fans of the shop - formerly located at Unit 3, 40 Melton Road, Oakham - can still pick up some cheesy goodies and more.
