Yesterday, Sunday 9 July, Rutland's annual Party in the Park took place.
The event welcomed members of the local community to celebrate Rutland's military community, veterans, and emergency and volunteer organisations.
Organised by Rutland's Lord-Lieutenant, Dr Sarah Furness, and supported by Oakham Town Council, the annual event is a popular one and sees hundreds of residents come together to enjoy live music, food, drinks, stalls hosted by local sellers and much more.
This year was no exception.
Residents enjoyed live music from MankyBeds and 1940s swing and harmony group, The Bluebird Belles, as well as drinks from The Grainstore and Ovation, and food from suppliers such as GRIFF's Pizza, Warner's Traditional Sweet Shop and more.
Following on from the Party in the Park, the regular live music in Cutts Close will continue next weekend, and is set to go on until the end of August.
On the schedule is:
The Uppingham Jazz and Soul Band - 16 July from 2:30pm
Smokestack Blues Band - 23 July from 2:30pm
McGoo - 30 July from 2:30pm
Harborough - 6 August from 2:30pm
Los Cojones - 13 August from 2:30pm
Barbarita - 20 August from 2:30pm
The August Bank Holiday weekend will see the last of these live music events take place in a weekend-long extravaganza. As such, there will be four bands performing on Sunday and Monday:
Midnight City Band - 27 August from 12pm
Extones - 27 August from 3pm
The Travelling Sideliners - 28 August from 12pm
