Preparations are well underway for this year's For Rutland Good and New Clothes Sale on 28th and 29th March.

The Clothes Sale will have over 70 rails of high-quality preloved garments, shoes and accessories and the For Rutland team are hard at work getting the final preparations sorted. From steaming out creases, double and triple checking seams and buttons and carefully pricing each individual piece of clothing, the volunteers are busy making sure each piece is up to the highest quality ready for the sale.

For Rutland raises funds for Citizens Advice Rutland to pay for Specialist Advisors to provide non-medical advice to people of all ages living with long-term health conditions in Rutland and the surrounding community.

The Good and New Sale started in 1965, with the first recorded funds raised in 1969 as £190. It's safe to say the sale has grown since then, with the 2024 sale reaching in the region of £47,000. This year's event at the new home of Rutland Hall Hotel hopes to surpass this incredible total.

This year's sale will have over 70 rails of meticulously checked, high-quality clothing including men's and children's clothing, accessories and shoes. There will also be a selection of beautiful designer pieces on sale, including brands like Prada, Chloe, Jimmy Choo, Hugo Boss, Ralph Lauren and many more.

As well as raising vital funds for Citizens' Advice, the Good and New Sale has a huge sustainable impact in the local community, contributing to Rutland's micro-circular economy. Fast fashion is suffocating the planet and throw-away culture is filling landfill with clothes only worn a handful of times. The Good and New Sale hopes to change this by offering every item of clothes donated a second chance at becoming someone's new favourite item.

The Good and New Sale will take place over two days, with a special Friday Night Shopping Evening with a glass of champagne and canapes for attendees provided by Hambleton Hall, creating a luxury shopping experience and the first chance to check out the clothes. For the Friday, advanced tickets are £25 per person.

On Saturday 29th March between 8.30am and 1pm, the Saturday Savers event will take place with tickets costing just £5 and almost all pieces half price.
