Police appeal after man dies in motorcycle collision at an Oakham roundabout

Police appeal for information following a fatal motorcycle collision in Oakham, Rutland. 

Rutland Police were called to the scene at the Burley Park Way roundabout Thursday 20th March around 6pm. A man in his 20s, who was riding a black triumph motorbike, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles are believed to be involved at this time.

In a statement by Rutland Police, Detective Constable Adam Bancroft of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "First and foremost, the family of the motorcyclist would like to express their thanks to those members of the public who stopped at the scene to provide first aid. 

"Officers spoke to some people at the scene but we're keen to speak to anyone who might have captured the incident, or the motorcycle beforehand, on a dashcam. 

"Anything you're able to tell us or any footage you're able to provide could help our investigation."
