Oakham in Bloom is a volunteer organisation working to improve the environment for Oakham residents, visitors, and workers.

The group was formed in August 1997 and are still going strong today, with a hard working group of volunteers at hand to make Oakham's roundabouts, boarders, and plant boxes beautiful.

On top of the gardening volunteers, they also have fundraising volunteers to help pay for gardening supplies, soil, plants and more.

They work with local producers and often use flowers grown at HMP Stocken by inmates.

Oakham in Bloom also encourage the wider community to plant and care for flowers and shrubs, as well a limiting graffiti and litter in the local area.
