Active Mums Club: The new Rutland initiative supporting new mothers move more
By Grace Kennington 13th Sep 2026
Active Mums Club is coming to Rutland to empower and engage pre and post natal women to exercise safely and connect with others.
Initially started in Leicestershire, the Active Mums Club project is kicking off in Rutland with a free session on Friday 18 September.
The session will take place at the Rutland Family Hub from 11.30am to 2.30pm and give mums the chance to try some post-natal Pilates, go for a walk, stop for a stay and play with little ones and meet other mums from the local area.
The Active Mums Club project is focussed on empowering pre and post natal women to take ownership of their own movement levels, receive accurate advice about exercise and physical activity around their pregnancy journey and the opportunity to take part in physical activity within their local communities and home.
Thy will also be starting regular buggy walks starting from the family hub soon, with the plan of expanding them across Rutland in the future.
