A Coronation event has been postponed following poor weather.

The Coronation Car Boot Sale, set to take place on Monday 8 May, was postponed by the organising team due to bad weather.

Heavy rain on the run up to the event meant that field conditions were too bad to host the Coronation charity 'Clear Out to Help Out' car boot sale.

The event, hosted by Rutland Car Boot and supported by the Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland, was supposed to take place at Rutland Showground on Monday 8 May to mark the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

Now, the event will take place on Monday 29 May, the third of three bank holiday Mondays in May 2023.

The event will raise funds for Citizens Advice Rutland, For Rutland and Rutland Foodbank, who have fed more people than ever this year amid the cost of living crisis.

On top of sellers and stalls, there will be food and drinks, games, a fun fair and rides, family fun and more.

The event will take place at Rutland Showground, Showground Way, Oakham, on 29 May from 10am until 4pm.
