Oakham mayor David Romney has launched a colouring competition to help youngsters get through the Coronavirus crisis.

The 'Mayor's Picture Competition' has a theme of 'My Happy Place' where entrants are asked to draw or paint a picture to show their 'happy place'.

He said: "Everyone will have a special place/food/person/pet, that makes them smile and we would like to see yours. So grab whatever materials, pens, pencils, stickers and glitter (and anything else you may have to create a wonderful picture. A4 size would be great."

Then a photo of the picture should be taken and emailed to [email protected]

Entrants should also add their name, age and the contact details of a responsible adult.

They can also add a few words on why the place featured is so special and what materials were used to create the picture.

All pictures are to be received by Saturday 30th May 2020.

Winners will be notified by Saturday 13th June 2020.

A Presentation event may not be possible, in which case, prizes/tickets will be posted.

Entry will automatically be seen as permission to "show" in promotions etc. Once submitted unfortunately no returns available.
