Coronavirus crisis: Time running out for Rutland businesses to claim support

By The Editor 26th Nov 2020

Businesses have until next week to claim extra support from the government due to the second Covid-19 lockdown.

Rutland County Council has released further grant support for non-rate paying businesses that are required to close by Government as part of the second national lockdown, such as those occupying a shared space.

The application form and policy, which provides further details including eligibility requirements, can be found on the Council's website at www.rutland.gov.uk/businesscovidgrants.

As the application window closes at 5pm on Friday 4 December, businesses are encouraged to check if they are eligible and submit their application as soon as they can.

Rutland businesses are also reminded to check www.gov.uk/business-coronavirus-support-finder to find the latest information on Self Employed Income Support, the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (which has been extended to March 2021), business support loans and tax breaks.

Information on local business support services is also available on the Council's website, at: www.rutland.gov.uk/covidbusiness.
