Date announced for spectacular Oakham fireworks display

This year's fireworks display staged by the Lions Club of Rutland will light up the sky on Friday 1 November.

The annual event will be its usual exciting mix of colour and noise as it paints the night sky above Oakham.

As usual, the event will take place at Oakham Rugby Club, Rutland Showground, but there is one key difference - it's on a Friday!

Gates open at 5.15pm, with the first display at 6.45pm and the second at 7.30pm. Tickets will go on sale from October.

The fireworks display will take place on Friday 1 November (Rutland Lions).
