The Oakham North East Ward by-election will take place on 21st November. Here is all the important details ready for the polling stations to open. 

Oakham North East Ward by-election on 21st November is to elect a councillor to represent the ward in Rutland County Council.  

The polls will open between 7am and 10pm at All Saints Church, Church Street, Oakham, LE15 6AA. Voters will need to bring a valid photo ID in order to be allowed to vote. 

For those who chose to vote via postal vote but missed the deadline to post it via Royal Mail, votes can be delivered by hand to Rutland County Council's Catmose Office between 8.45am and 4.30pm. For the postal vote to be accepted, individuals must speak to an authorised person at reception and fill out the required form. The vote will not be valid if it is only put in the council letter box or left at reception. 

Candidates standing in this by-election are: 

  • Ben Callaghan – Reform UK, 
  • Linda Chatfield – Liberal Democrat, 
  • Christopher Clark – Conservative Party, 
  • Katie Ross – Labour Party
