Some changes are coming to Oakham's Tesco supermarket, including the addition of a Yo Sushi stall.

The Rutland-based branch of Tesco has been seeing changes and additions since late 2022, with the deli counters and hot kiosk being removed and replace with temporary pallets of snacks, drinks and other products.

Now, the store is making way for a Yo Sushi.

While many have voiced their support of this store upgrade, a few have begged that local people continue to support the independently owned GA Sushi, which opened on Church Street in May 2022.

The Tesco team provided an example of what the new Yo Sushi stand will look like

The staff have also been providing extra assistance, including staff with large red signs reading 'here to help' and diagrams at the entrance of the store.

The team have provided diagrams to help with the layout of the changing store.

Staff have confirmed that most of the renovations taking place at the store will take place overnight, meaning that there should be no closures.

The team are attempting to prvent disruption with notes and diagrams.
