A podcast led by two women from the local area has recently welcomed Shamina Khan, co-founder of a community café aimed at providing work experience, jobs, and support for neurodivergent individuals.

In their podcast, 'More Than A Woman', local hosts Tracey and Sarah are on a mission to highlight the remarkable women within their community of Leicestershire and Rutland. 

With diverse backgrounds and experiences, Tracey and Sarah are passionate about showcasing the extraordinary stories of strength, courage, and determination that often go unheard. Their podcast aims to inspire and empower audiences of all genders and ages. 

Their impressive line up of guests so far includes: 

Alicia Kearns MP: A prominent political figure, sharing her journey and insights into leadership. 

Iman Barlow: A world-class kickboxing and Muay Thai boxer, showcasing her incredible achievements in the combat sports world.

Katie Neeves: A transgender activist, providing valuable perspectives on gender identity and advocacy. 

Rosemary Conley: A fitness and diet expert with over 50 years of experience, who has helped countless individuals lead healthier lives. 

Alice Greaves: A local woman battle cancer.

Anne Davies: A local professional and BBC presenter.

This month, they have met with a Leicestershire woman who has opened an autism hub with her sister in the heart of Leicester.

Shamina Khan is the co-founder of the Evington Road community café aimed at providing work experience, jobs, and support for neurodivergent individuals.

Shamina and her sister Hawa have been running an autism hub in Leicester for the past four years, and they're now expanding their efforts with this new venture.

Hawa Khan was inspired to launch the venture with her sister after studying for a PhD, and having a 22-year-old son with autism.
