What's on at a Rutland mental health and wellbeing charity this July

Throughout July 2024, the Oakham-based mental health charity, Pepper's- A Safe Place, will be hosting a range of activities open to all.
Pepper's- A Safe Place runs friendly and welcoming drop-in sessions and wellbeing activities for any adults who may be struggling with their Mental Health.
All adults are welcome to come and take a break, socialise, combat isolation, have fun and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
Development Manager, Pippa Gorman, said: "Loneliness is something that I'm sure we have all struggled with, especially throughout the pandemic. But many live with it everyday. We want to bring the community together, with a shared, safe and welcoming space for all, to chat, socialise, have fun and be less alone."
Pepper's - A Safe Place has been open for over four years, offering drop-in sessions for any adults struggling with their mental health or loneliness.
Pippa said: "Our sessions are open to all adults, you can take some time out in a relaxed environment, chat with others, have fun or just relax with a cup of tea.
"We encourage anyone in the community to come and have a chat with us during our market stalls or to pop into one of our sessions during the week. Even if it's not for you, it may be that a friend or family member would benefit from that social, relaxed and safe space that Pepper's can provide."

Pippa concluded: "We'll be out in the garden planting up lots of new seedlings, relaxing in meditation and Tai Chi sessions, running a watercolour workshop, starting a series on Aboriginal Painting and, as always, making our way through lots of tea, coffee and biscuits in our drop-in sessions."
