National Trust sites in and around Rutland will be free for one week only, but there's a catch!

This March, The National Lottery, in its 30th year, will be saying thank you to players for the £30million they raise for good causes every week with The National Lottery Open Week.

From Saturday 9 – Sunday 17 March 2024, anyone with a valid online or retail National Lottery ticket, Scratchcard or Instant Win Game can enjoy a low-cost day out there or elsewhere, thanks to special offers at hundreds of National Lottery funded venues and attractions.

The focus this year is on encouraging the nation to try something new, by offering an array of free entry and special offers at hundreds of National Lottery funded venues across the UK.

And some of these venues offering residents the chance to take advantage are right here in Rutland!

Oakham Castle is one of these, having benefited from National Lottery Funding in recent years.

On 11 March and 13–16 March, Oakham Castle will be offering free Rutland and the Gt War books , postcards and a small puzzle game for younger visitors.

Woolsthorpe Manor, just a short drive from Rutland, is also taking part in National Lottery Open Week between 9 - 11 March and 14 - 17 March.

From 9 - 10 and 16 - 17 March, Nene Valley Railway will also be offering a ticket deal as a part of this initiative:

Offer 1 - 25% off a Adult All Day Rover ticket when you show a valid Lottery Ticket.

Offer 2 - Free Child All Day Rover Ticket when you purchase an Adult All Day Rover Ticket and show your valid Lottery Ticket.

This initiative is "to say thank you to all of the National Lottery players who have helped us with vital conservation work at so many of our places."

Proof of purchase of a National Lottery game can be either hard copy ticket or digital.

All offers for UK-wide beauty spots suitable for the offer can be found at this site: National Lottery Open Week 2024 - National Lottery Good Causes.
