A local creative Writing group is in need of a new leader.
The writing group launched in Oakham this month at Oakham Refill Shoppe and, following a friendly first session, has unfortunately lost its organiser. .
Oakham Refill Shoppe opened in the autumn, and has begun restarting a series of sessions and workshops that took place a the eco-friendly shop when it was Rutland Refill.
The café and eco-friendly store, formally run by Jenni Penfold as Rutland Refill, opened in October and has returned offering many of the services available at Rutland Refill, but with the aim of becoming a community hub and crafting centre too.
The new writing sessions going ahead at Oakham Refill Shoppe are open to all writers from poets, fiction writers, fact writers, journalers, scriptwriters, bloggers and letter writers, to oral storytellers, spoken word artists, lyricists, and every other wordsmith living in the local area.
Sadly, the group leader can no longer commit to the sessions, prompting the team to reach out in search of a new leader to get creative and take charge of the informal group.
The group meets on the first Saturday of every month, with the next session scheduled to take place on Saturday 3 February from 10:30am until 12:30pm.
If you can help, reach out to the team on Facebook.
