Local child, Joshua aged 10, is hoping to raise £1,500 for the 'Raptors of Rutland' or the Rutland Ospreys at the end of March 2023, and needs your support.

Joshua has been an osprey ambassador for one year and a keen ornithologist for many years.

Josh said: "I am trying to do my bit for local wildlife and habitat conversation, so, I have decided to walk 22.1 miles around Rutland Water, along with my mum who will be accompanying me the whole way throughout my challenge. My aim is to raise enough money to help towards the ongoing work within the project and to encourage other children to get behind conservation and make a difference.

Joshua has his eyes to the sky waiting for Rutland Water's migrating Osprey couple to return.

"I will also be walking for my mentor and teacher, Ken Davies, who helped me begin my journey into the project and who believes in my ability to help nature thrive."

Proud mum, Samantha Dell, added: "We would love if you could offer your support! He would like to walk at the end of March, just in time for our wonderful breeding duo to return from their migration."

Joshua added: "If you could donate, no matter how small, it would be amazing and I would be very very grateful."
