Rutland's B. Faulkner and Sons will be taking a week off next week to give the family team a well-earned break ahead of the festive season.

The popular local fruit and veg stall can be found in Oakham every Wednesday and Saturday, and in Uppingham on Fridays, and is rarely without a queue.

The team work hard year round to bring you fresh goods, and no more so than at Christmas, when the demand for sprouts - love them or hate them - and other festive veg is at an all time high.

As such, the team will be taking a break next week to recoup and recover in time for their busiest period of the year.

Be sure to visit your local market this weekend ahead of the family holiday. Image credit: B Faulker and Sons.

The team will be off from Wednesday 18 until Saturday 21 October.

As such, regular users of the market should be sure to head down to the market in Uppingham on Friday from 8am, and Oakham on Saturday, to stock up before the team head off on their jollies.
