Local gift and furniture shop set to extend opening hours this Christmas

A local gift shop is extending its opening hours for Christmas, as well as stocking a range of festive decorations and goodies to make your Christmas sparkle.

Stephen and Kelly Brant, owners of Peeky's Quirky Gifts, are a married duo who have been working hard to make their dream a reality in Oakham.

Christmas is a key time for the pair, who hope that a boost in festive trade will save the day for the independent store on Oakham's South Street.

Peeky's Quirky Gifts opened in January, and stocks a range of gifts, furniture and handmade items, made by Stephen and Kelly.

While those who use the shop have reported "friendly service, extremely good value and a diverse range of extraordinary and well made bits and bobs", the business owners have put out a plea to Rutland residents to shop local this Christmas as business across Oakham struggle to make ends meet.

Stephen and Kelly said: "We are excited to welcome residents in to pick up Christmas ornaments, stocking fillers, gifts and much more."

Now that Christmas in on the horizon, the duo are optimistic that the festive season will bring a boost to businesses across the country.

From stocking fillers, to show-stopping gifts, the South Street venue stocks a huge range of items, with prices starting at £2.

The duo also sell a range of larger furniture and household items, as well as providing innovative storage solutions and outdoor furniture and goods that you can enjoy all year round.

And now they are opening on Sundays as Christmas approaches, giving you more time to pick up gifts, decor and more to deck the halls this festive season!
