A 25-year-old man is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Friday 5 March) after officers were assaulted during an incident in Rutland.

Dean Kirk, of Brompton Place, Kings Lynn, Norfolk, has been charged with five counts of assaulting emergency workers.

He has also been charged with two counts of criminal damage, one count of failing to leave land used in a rave and a further charge of using threatening/abusive/insulting words/behaviour with intent to cause fear of/provoke unlawful violence.

The charges relate to an illegal music event in a field in Pickworth on 19 July 2020.
