The Met Office has issued yellow and amber weathers warning for Oakham on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 November.
'Strong' and 'gusty' winds are expected to cause disruption in Oakham and Rutland as Storm Claudia batters the British Isles.
The amber warning is in effect from midday on Friday 14 November to midnight, bringing heavy rain and a risk of flooding.
The yellow warning is in place between 6am on Friday and 6am on Saturday.
This means that there is a 'slight' chance of damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs.
There is also a slight chance of power cuts and a 'small' chance of injuries and danger to life from flying debris.
The Met Office has also said there is a chance that some roads or bridges could close, and that there could be cancellations on road and rail services nearby.
A spokesperson advised that residents should check for any loose items outside your home and amend travel plans if necessary and avoid areas known to be likely to flood.
