The MP for Rutland and Melton, Alicia Kearns, has announced the opening of her annual competition to crown Rutland and Melton's Favourite Independent Shop Awards 2022.

Rutland and Melton residents can support their favourite independent shop or business by nominating them on the local MP's website.

Alicia Kearns shared: "I am delighted to announce that nominations are now open for Rutland and Melton's Favourite Independent Shop Awards 2022!

"This Christmas I'm asking you to nominate your favourite independent shops and celebrate all of the amazing businesses that we are so lucky to have across Rutland, Melton, the Vale and Harborough villages.

"Last year's competition received nearly one hundred nominations and thousands of votes, resulting in Foxy Lots of Melton being crowned as the overall winner!
