Situated on the picturesque shores of Rutland Water between Rutland Water Golf Course and the nature reserve, Lyndon Top promises a peaceful, well-kept campsite with 'stunning views' just a 10-minute drive from Oakham.

Lyndon Top will officially open on 12 June, with 634 pitches for campervans, caravans and tents.

According to Pitch Up, the site is a 'peaceful, well-kept 112-acre site on the shore of Rutland Water' with 'direct access to the walking/ bike path around the lake's edge.'

The site boasts great connections for outdoor activities, including fly fishing, bird watching, gold, canoeing, windsurfing and boat trips, as well as a selection of local walking and cycling routes.

Nearby attractions include: historic market town of Oakham with a castle and museum, Barnsdale Gardens, Rockingham Castle, Burghley House, the Rutland Osprey Project and Rutland's Aqua Park with inflatable obstacle course.

This dog friendly campsite welcomes families, couples and solo campers but does not accept bookings from single-sex groups or non-family groups.

Open from the 12 June to 31 October, pitches start at £25 per night.
