There is a variety of ongoing roadworks in the centre of Oakham, with several road closures and diversions in place in the coming weeks.

Lands End Way

Between 1 June and 12 June, a section of Lands End Way is closed for street works.

Delays are likely as this is a busy through route. The recommended diversion route in place is via the B640 and A606.

Ashwell Road

Between 1 June and 19 June, there will be a road closure in place on Ashwell Road, due to gas works being carried out by Candent Gas.

Church Street, Langham

Similarly to Ashwell Road, there is a road closure for gas works on Church Street in Langham between 8 June and 26 June.

The recommended diversion route is on Manor Lane, Orchard Road and Well Street.

Main Street, Whissendine

Road works on Main Street, Whissendine, have been extended to 26 May to 16 June. The works are outside St Andrew's church and are being carried out by Rutland County Council.

Burley Park Way

There is overnight road works between 7pm and 5am on the Burley Park Way roundabout with the A6003 and A606 from 15 June to 23 June.

These roadworks happening over night will hopefully reduce the amount of congestion they cause and there will be multiway traffic lights.
