A new writing group will be launching in Oakham next month.
On 3 August, a writing group will have its first session at Rutland Refill.
The community interest refill shop opened its doors on Oakham's Westgate in October 2021, and has since introduced a range of new initiatives, from amateur art hour to a 'chatty cafe' scheme aimed at targeting loneliness.
Now, the team at Rutland Refill will be hosting the first of the new writing groups.
The sessions are open to all writers from poets, fiction writers, fact writers, journalers, scriptwriters, bloggers and letter writers, to oral storytellers, spoken word artists, lyricists, and every other wordsmith living in the local area.
The only requirement?
That you have a love of creating with the written and spoken word.
Join the team for Word Weavers, a new supportive writer's group and open floor, on the first Thursday of every month from 4pm onwards at Rutland Refill Cafe.
This will be an informal space where you can share your work, and contain invitations to experiment, offer creative prompts, be based upon supportive encouragement, and of course, there will be cake.
The first session will take place on Thursday 3 August from 4pm.
