Rutland County Council remind residents that there will be no Oakham South Vote following the uncontested election on Friday the 17th of June 2022.

Residents living in Rutland's Oakham South Ward are being reminded that there will not be an election next week following the uncontested election of Cllr Raymond Payne.

Find out more here.

A by-election was called in Oakham South following the resignation of former Rutland County Councillor Ian Razzell

When nominations for this by-election closed on the 17th of June 2022, only Mr Payne (Liberal Democrat) stood validly nominated and was duly elected as Ward Member, without contest.

As a result, there is no longer a by-election vote on Thursday the 14th of July and voters can disregard the information sent out on poll cards prior to the close of nominations.

Anyone who registered to vote in advance of the by-election will remain registered for future elections.
