There are some varied roles on offer in Oakham this week, from customer service to schooling and a little more in between.

Read on to discover full and part-time jobs with Catmose College, Ovation Wine & Spirit Bar, and Wilko.

  1. Ovation Wine & Spirit Bar

Based in Gaol Street, Ovation Wine & Spirit Bar are looking for a full-time bar manager to join their small team.

The team, headed up by Chris and Bianca, are close-knit and always full of smiles, offering lovely service to accompany their huge selection of wines and locally sourced charcuterie boards.

"We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and career driven bar manager to join our team and grow with us."

Wage is not specified but can be discussed upon application.

  1. Wilko
Wilko are seeking a Morning Customer Service Assistant to join their busy team on a temporary basis. The store is based in Oakham High Street and sells a wide variety of goods, from home and kitchen wares to food and beauty supplies. Your role as Customer Service Assistant will include:

Making sure every customer receives the very best service

Working on the till or out on the shop floor

Always coming to work with a warm, friendly manner

Being helpful and approachable

Having great product knowledge

Taking huge pride in what you do

Making sure that the shop floor looks shipshape

Ensuring that all of the stock is in the right place and of course, looks its best. Pay will be £8.46 for candidates under 23, and £9 for those over. Interested parties can apply on the company website.
  1. Catmose College

Catmose College are looking for a Design and Technology specialist who would like to work in a school that values traditional craft and design skills.

Design and Technology is taught on rotation in Years 7-9 with Food, Graphics and Design Technology, painting and digital, ceramics and textiles alongside. Uptake at Key Stage 4 has remained strong in a very broad range of specialist areas and this has continued to grow in recent years.

Applications are particularly welcomed from early career teachers who will be well supported by experienced mentors, or from more experienced candidates where there are exceptional opportunities for further professional development and promotion.

In this role, you will:

Provide leadership in the classroom

Deliver good and outstanding lessons to ensure students make outstanding progress

Consistently deliver good and outstanding lessons

Contribute to the development of schemes of work

Continue to develop your own practice through training and collaboration, using new technologies when appropriate to improve learning

Have excellent subject knowledge

Inspire and enthuse students to become independent learners who are able to access a range of learning techniques

Identify and support individual students with additional needs
