An Oakham salon is relocating following 26 years in its Catmose Street shop.

Tonnerre will be relocating from the Catmose Street venue to 55 South Street, the home of Ellique, in October.

Ellique and the established hair salon will be uniting and sharing a venue, meaning that residents can enjoy multiple treatments in one location - and just a skip and a hop across the road from another independent shop, Peeky's Quirky Gifts.

The team shared the news on their social media: "After an incredible 26 years on Catmose Street, Shani, Tracey and the amazing team are embarking on a new chapter. We're thrilled to announce that we're relocating to Ellique Beauty on 55 South Street, Oakham.

"Our journey at Tonnerre has been filled with unforgettable moments - the good, the sad, and the challenging - and now, it's time for a fresh start. Joining forces with Jules and the Ellique team feels like the perfect next step.

"Mark your calendars: We'll be bidding farewell to Catmose Street on October 28 and throwing open our doors at Ellique on 1 November.

"Shani, Tracey and the Tonnerre team are eagerly looking forward to welcoming both loyal and new customers to our brand-new home. Your unwavering support over these 26 incredible years has meant the world to us. Here's to new beginnings and endless beauty!"

This comes as another local hair salon is set to move into the old toy shop on Oakham High Street.
