Oakham wine bar plan

By The Editor

29th Apr 2021 | Local News

A wine bar has been proposed for an empty shop unit in Oakham.

Christopher Nix of Knossington-based BizNix Ltd seeks a change of use at Unit 2-3, Knights Yard, Gaol Street.

His application to Rutland County Council says the 99m2 site is currently empty and was previously a fine foods/deli, licenced to sell alcohol for off site consumption.

Chris hopes his new venture can open Monday to Saturday from 12 noon to 11pm.

Oakham Town Council is expected to debate the application at its Annual Meeting next Wednesday (May 5) when it will make a recommendation to Rutland County Council, who will make a decision at a later date.
