The Rutland Fairtrade Forum is hosting its Annual General Meeting (AGM) tonight, Tuesday 23 April 2024.

All are welcome to the AGM of the Rutland Fairtrade Forum, which is set to take place on Oakham's Northgate this evening.

Find out about:

  • the benefits of Fairtrade to farmers in the developing world
  • activities in Rutland supporting Fairtrade
  • renewal of Rutland's county Fairtrade status

The meeting will take place from 7pm on 23 April at:

Methodist Church Hall

Northgate

The County of Rutland was granted Fairtrade Status in March 2007. This means that a certain level of support has been reached in the promotion and use of Fairtrade marked products in all sectors of the community – local authorities, retail outlets, restaurants, cafés, businesses, clubs and associations, schools and churches.

Rutland Fairtrade promotes Rutland businesses, schools and organisations that support Fairtrade.

The team host an annual Fairtrade Christmas market at Oakham Castle, the AGM and strive to boost local businesses using Fairtrade products.
