To use Rutland's household waste and recycling centres, Rutland residents must register their vehicle(s) with the automatic number plate recognition system used in the local area.

Access to the centres will be limited without registration and will slow your visit to the two household waste and recycling centres (HWRC)

There centres are:

Cottesmore HWRC

This site is open four days a week:

  • Friday
  • Saturday
  • Sunday
  • Monday

Opening hours on days this HWRC is open:

  • Summer (1st April to 31st October): 10am to 6pm
  • Winter (1st November to 31st March): 10am to 4pm

The site is closed on:

  • Christmas Day
  • Boxing Day
  • New Year's Day

Address:

Burley Road, Cottesmore, Rutland LE15 7BZ

North Luffenham HWRC

This site is open six days a week:

  • Tuesday
  • Wednesday
  • Thursday
  • Friday
  • Saturday
  • Sunday

Opening hours on days this HWRC is open:

  • Summer (1st April to 31st October): 10am to 6pm
  • Winter (1st November to 31st March): 10am to 4pm

Register your vehicle to use these recycling centres here or access the MyAccount feature on RCC's website to find out more.

You will also be able to use MyAccount to make service enquiries, track how far they've progressed and make online payments for some services, so registering for this handy service will certainly be worthwhile.
